Tiny droplets pierce like a million needles as they bounce off my flesh and warmth; the sudden sting of chill after standing in a dozen suns. You’re just typing away, like always. No one here remembers you, or recognizes you, or wants to talk to you. It is one of the most common questions I’ve been asked my whole life. Introduce Your Partner games at the start of a school year when in the next ten minutes no one in that class is going to even remember your name. Online surveys to see which character you are from your favorite cartoon, ‘get to know me’ lists that you fill out alone at three in the morning, not because you think anyone will read or care but because it gives you a sense that for once you’re not talking to yourself. What color are your eyes? When I was born the doctors gave me a hard smack and when I opened my eyes to scream everything was black.

I write poetry, sometimes, mostly about personal thoughts and feelings. I have a lot of short stories that are a work in progress, and hopefully I'll be able to find the motivation to finish at least a few of them. Part of me wants to tell people about this, at least to tell my boyfriend, but I'm too embarrassed. This site has a lot of problems, and the stigma behind it is pretty much awful. I told myself I was never going to get another dA account, but when your boyfriend is sleeping and you've reached your post limit there's only so many things you can do with your time. I don't expect any watchers. In fact, I'm not sure why I'm writing this in the first place. Maybe to get some sort of grounding here. It's worth a start, anyway. The website's changed a lot since I've been here last. I was fifteen when I made my first account, and I don't think I've logged into the site since 2011. Hopefully I won't have too hard of a time figuring out how it works. I've started to feel a little light bodied. That's usually a sign for sleep.
